DISMAL SWAMP vs VIRGINIA CUT (pro-conning which route to take when the ICW splits)
Choosing your path on the ICW between Norfolk, VA, and Beaufort, NC can be daunting. Now that we’ve officially done both the Virginia Cut (x1) and the Dismal Swamp (x2) we feel pretty good about sharing the pro-cons of both and some decision-makers to help you make your decision!
We have a short cruise from the free dock in Portsmouth, VA to our stay at Waterside Marina in Norfolk, VA for the AGLCA Spring Rendezvous where we then break it down with a special guest!
