On day 42 of our #greatloop journey, we left Charl On day 42 of our #greatloop journey, we left Charleston and headed north to Georgetown. Cruising through this part of the ICW always brings us back a lot of memories because it's where we ran aground the first time (of many) and where we dragged anchor. It was a huge learning curve for us. Now we look back on that day and laugh, but it's taken some time to get to the point where we could laugh about it all.

On day 41 of our #greatloop journey, we were faced On day 41 of our #greatloop journey, we were faced with the dilemma of the trip... managing boat work, typical "household tasks," and doing work-work, with wanting to go out and explore Charleston and have fun. When our friends Fletcher and Jetti stopped by and invited us to play pickleball with them, we were down. Chores and work can wait. It was the best decision because we had a great time hanging out with them!

On day 39 of our #greatloop journey, we went on a On day 39 of our #greatloop journey, we went on a food tour of Beaufort, SC which is known for its awesome southern food. We began our day visiting @herbanmarketandcafe where we enjoyed a breakfast burrito since their popular biscuit and gravy had already sold out. For lunch, we enjoyed some fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and their sweet pepper jelly at Lowcountry Produce Market and Cafe . For dinner, we extended an invitation to the loopers in the area to join us for wood-fired pizza at @hearth_wood_fired_pizza . It was such a fun day exploring Beaufort with a focus on food which meant we took every opportunity to walk and see the gorgeous downtown area between meals.
