Dinghy Problems on the way to Beaufort, North Carolina
Today we leave our anchorage where we held out some foul weather yesterday. We highly recommend Mile Hammock Bay if you need a quiet place to spend a couple nights!
We left just after sunrise after Elliot took Ollie out for a walk. Unfortunately, our dinghy engine is still the bane of our existence. Due to a minor leak, we ran out of propane which left Elliot to row upstream.
We had a few firsts on the way to Beaufort, one being a bridge under construction. We had probably 14 feet of width and as our beam is 12.5 feet, we barely made it. It was pretty nerve wracking being so close to the bridge!
Finally we found what is now one of our favorite anchorages in Beaufort, and met our sailing friends from Abroad Reach Travel for sundowners! It was a great day!
The ups, downs, and everything in between, we share it all. If you like what you see, there are lots of ways to show your support and say thanks! It’s a small way to say thank you that goes a long way!
